Our Earl Grey begins with a premium Darjeeling black tea base — not a generic blend — scented with natural bergamot oil from southern Italy.
Bergamot is a citrus fruit whose essential oil gives Earl Grey its signature fragrance: bright, citrusy, and slightly floral. Most mass-market Earl Greys use a generic black tea base, resulting in a one-dimensional cup. Ours uses Darjeeling, which adds muscatel complexity beneath the bergamot — creating an Earl Grey with depth.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What makes your Earl Grey different?
A: We use a premium Darjeeling black tea base instead of generic black tea. The Darjeeling adds muscatel complexity beneath the bergamot, creating a more layered and interesting cup than mass-market versions.
Q: Is the bergamot natural?
A: Yes. We use natural bergamot essential oil, not artificial flavouring.
Q: Should I add milk or lemon?
A: The classic British way is with a thin lemon slice (never both milk and lemon). A dash of milk also works well. Try it both ways and see which you prefer.
