Nilgiri Teas-The Sweet Touch

Nilgiri tea, if we go by the name, we can understand that it is grown in the Nilgiri mountains which is also called as the Blue Mountains located in Tamil Nadu. Belonging to the southern side of the Western Ghats in South India, the Nilgiri mountains are a captivating zone with changing altitudes and moisture that allows the tea to grow throughout the year. Preparation of Nilgiri Tea at home:

 While brewing Nilgiri tea, take a large rounded tea kettle where the tea leaves open up and have lots of space to boil and blend properly.

 Pre-heat the tea kettle and cup by filling them with hot water until they feel warm and then remove the water.

 Place one teaspoon of Nilgiri tea leaves per cup of water (250ml) inside the tea kettle and start boiling for 3 to 5 minutes to let the tea mix. The longer the tea boils, the stronger will be the taste. So adjust the boiling time in accordance to your taste.

 Pour into your tea cups and relish it with sugar or honey as per your choice. You can also add milk to it if you would like to have milk tea. To get the actual flavor of Nilgiri tea, try at least once without milk, sugar, or lemon.

Iced Nilgiri tea also tastes supercool on a scorching summer.
