Matcha Whisk

The chasen (bamboo matcha whisk) is an essential tool for preparing matcha correctly. Machine-made whisks and forks cannot achieve the smooth, frothy consistency that a traditional chasen produces.

Our matcha whisk is handcrafted from bamboo with fine tines that create a perfect froth every time. If you are drinking matcha, investing in a proper chasen transforms the experience.

Q: Do I need a special whisk for matcha?

A: A traditional bamboo chasen produces the smooth, frothy consistency that defines properly prepared matcha. Forks and regular whisks cannot achieve the same result.

Q: How do I care for it?

A: Rinse with warm water after each use. Stand upright to air dry. Do not put in the dishwasher. With proper care, a chasen lasts 3–6 months of regular use.
