Namhah Wild Smokey Tea 100gm

For those who love bold, unconventional flavours, our Wild Smokey Tea is an adventure in a cup. Inspired by the Lapsang Souchong tradition of smoke-dried black tea, this tea is processed over controlled smoke to infuse the leaves with a deep, campfire-like aroma that is utterly unlike any other tea you have tasted.

Smokey tea is polarising by design — people either love it passionately or find it too intense. There is no middle ground, and that is precisely the appeal. If you enjoy smoky whisky, barbecued meats, campfire cooking, or charred wood flavours, this tea will feel like coming home.

Beneath the smokiness, there is a full-bodied black tea base with genuine malty depth. The smoke does not replace the tea — it enhances it, adding a dimension that transforms a simple cup into a sensory experience.

This is also one of the most interesting food-pairing teas in our collection. Try it alongside grilled meats, sharp aged cheeses, or a square of dark chocolate. The smoky character creates flavour bridges with savoury and umami foods that regular tea simply cannot.

Appearance: Dark, rich amber liquor.

Aroma: Immediate and powerful — campfire, wood smoke, toasted pine, charred oak. Bold and enveloping.

Flavour: The smokiness hits first, followed by a full-bodied black tea base with malty depth. Layers of campfire, toasted wood, and a hint of sweetness beneath the smoke. Bold and unapologetic.

Body: Full. Rich and substantial.

Finish: Long and smoky. The campfire character lingers well after the last sip.

Tea: 1 tsp per cup | Water: 200ml at 95°C | Steep: 3–4 min | Works plain or with a splash of milk. Evening is the ideal time — something to sip slowly by a window.

• 100g smoked black tea in food-grade sealed pouch.

Q: Is this like Lapsang Souchong?

A: Our Wild Smokey Tea is inspired by the Lapsang Souchong tradition of smoke-drying tea leaves. The processing technique is similar — controlled smoke infusion during drying. The flavour is bold, campfire-like, and deeply smoky.

Q: Will everyone in my family like this?

A: Honestly — probably not. Smokey tea is polarising. If you enjoy smoky whisky, BBQ, or campfire flavours, you will love it. If you prefer mild, smooth teas, this is not for you. That is exactly what makes it special — it is for the adventurous palate.

Q: What foods pair well with smokey tea?

A: Grilled meats, sharp aged cheeses (especially cheddar or gouda), dark chocolate, smoked salmon, and charcuterie. The smoky character creates remarkable flavour bridges with savoury and umami foods.

Q: Can I add milk?

A: Yes. A splash of milk softens the smokiness slightly while adding creaminess. However, many smokey tea enthusiasts prefer it plain to experience the full intensity.
