Darjeeling Silver Needles is among the rarest and most prized teas in the world. Made exclusively from the silvery, downy buds of the tea plant, this white tea is handpicked during a narrow harvest window and processed with extraordinary care — just gentle withering and natural drying, with no rolling, no oxidation, and no mechanical intervention.

The result is a tea of remarkable purity and elegance. Each bud is covered in fine silver-white hairs (called trichomes), giving it the distinctive “Silver Needles” appearance. These tiny hairs are a sign of the youngest, most tender buds — only the very tip of each branch qualifies for Silver Needles grade.

Darjeeling Silver Needles tends to be more floral and delicate than our Assam Silver Needles. The high-altitude Darjeeling terroir adds an ethereal quality — almost like drinking mountain mist. This is not a tea you drink for energy or strength. This is a tea you drink for contemplation and pleasure.
